CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

PRESENCE

DEEP LISTENING

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle and non-invasive manual therapy, aimed at releasing restrictions, blockages or imbalances within the craniosacral system. CST uses a light touch to adjust membranes and the movement of fluids in and around the central nervous system.

By finding, assessing, and treating asymmetries and restrictions of the craniosacral rhythm (the flow of cerebrospinal fluid), CST has the ability to positively impact pain and dysfunction, whilst enhancing the body’s natural ability for self-regulation and repair.

CST creates a safe nurturing environment for the client to release stored emotions and trauma the body holds. When we feel heard we feel safer.

  • Craniosacral therapy may be helpful in the treatment of a range of conditions, including:

    • Migraines & headaches

    • Chronic neck and back pain

    • TMJ/jaw pain

    • Stress & tension related disorders

    • Trauma (emotional/physcial)

    • Learning disabilities,

    • Chronic Fatigue

    • Insomnia

    • Post-surgery recovery

*CST is also highly beneficial for babies and infants.

  • Initial Consultation:
    60-mins $150

    5 Pack:
    60 mins per session $700

What is the Craniosacral System?

The Craniosacral System involves the development and function of the membranes and the cerebral spinal fluid between the brain and the spinal cord. The system has a rhythm that can be detected by a trained therapist through light touch. The rhythm travels throughout the body and the stress can be targeted if the rhythm is disrupted.

CranioSacral (CST) is based on understanding the subtle movements of the cranial bones, which result in a rhythm of approximately six to twelve cycles per minute. This rhythm is understood as a response to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) fluctuations within the spinal cord and brain environment. The subtle movement extends outward to the entire body, in response to the fluid pressure changes around the Central Nervous System.

What will I feel during Craniosacral Therapy?

Each person has different experiences and sensations during or after treatment. The following are some of the sensations you may experience:

deep relaxation ~ sleepiness/fatigue ~ deep pulsing ~ pins and needles ~ hot/cold sensation ~ emotions surfacing & being released
